Learn To Stop Spyware Before It Hurts Your Computer

by Ron Rogers

My friend is a fisherman, at least that's what he dreams of, on a monday thru Friday he fixes computers and does an excellent job and possesses a par excellent reputation. If I have a computer problem, he's the person I dial and no matter how difficult or convoluted the problem, give him some time and he'll ferret out a resolution. He told me something disconcerting the other night, it seems that a large percentage of the computers he services have spyware or adware on their PCs, and many his clients are ignorant of it; calling him when their machines become slugish.

The Internet is similar to a living, breathing organism frequently evolving, and sometimes not in a positive path, though it certainly has allowed me my career of choice. As the seasons change and expertise moves forward, so also does malware, spyware and adware. It is critical in today's environment to have Spyware Removal tools installed and to use it often; imperative is regularly updating the software, because what worked last time may miss a virus or malwarecoded since the previous scan.

As benchmark for this report (using a separate and clean system) I ran a test, removing any spyware removal software then visiting several traffic trade sites. These sites are ideal for new webmasters, providing them the ability to send visitors to their sites, accomplished by their visiting and looking at other relevant sites. The operation is performed this way:

The surfer is shown a site at random (usually category specific) and credits are debited to his/her account These credits are allocated to a particular site. when other people surf, your website is offered for review. The system is designed so everyone gets a look at someone elses site.

In theory this is a beautiful plan, however a few (not all) of these surfing sites are either run by or frequented by people with dishonesty on their mind. Their scheme not to merely show an offer or website, but to install spyware on your system. And with today's technology some of this spyware is intelligient enough to initiate the download of spyware/adware onto your system, as easily as surfing to their innocent looking marketing offer. I'm not knocking these sites or suggesting that all are bad, I am suggesting prudence and recommending you be confident your system is safe.

If you're reading this, statistics say you already have or will certainly be infected by spyware or adware. If you're thinking, well I don't visit those kinds of sites and I definetely never install illegal programs, then congratulations, but you are still at risk. Take the preventative measure. Take heed of the old saying...

'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure'

Nowhere is that truer than with the important data on your PC. Many of your files, either from a business or personal standpoint; just imagine waking up to discover all your data gone. Frightening, completely... Could it happen?... Yes. Stoppable? Yes you can by installing the right syware/adware removal software.

Were you aware that spyware was so widespread, maybe you're thinking what will spyware and adware do to my system. Good, glad to see you're taking heed. Mostly spyware/adware/malware are not were not coded to erase files, instead they are like a fly on the wall. Collecting datathen reporting back to someone/somewhere; they can display ads and in most cases can stifle your computer, slow your motherboard and decrease your connection speed to the web. It's not so much the damage done, but the fact that your life, your privacy, your system has been breached and these people (whomever they are) have no right to be there.

Thankfully there are sharp men and women that feel precisely the same way that I do; this group want to not take this lying down. I'm not a programmer, Instead I write, and I submit these facts to give fair warning and advise you make preparations and guard your home computer. I am grateful to those guys and gals with the skill and heart to program and offer for public use these top notch spyware/adware removal programs.

Once you make a decision on one of the spyware/adware programs to install, I'd advise regular scans of your PC. If the programs are setup properly, all of the hard work is done automatically, and in all probability while you're asleep.
